Off They Go
Once your son or daughter has secured their place at university the UCAS process may have ended but the packing and moving process now begins. Even if your child is staying at home it is still a period during which they begin to lead a more independent life and start to look after themselves.
To help you through this process we have compiled some packing ideas along with some dos and dont’s of the big move and come up with some great ideas for how to fill your time once they are gone. We interviewed Val Evans on her experience of sending her youngest daughter off to university about how she coped and share stories from our contributors on how their parents shaped their first day at university.
To make sure you know that they are being looked after whilst they are away we have also compiled a list of the support services that many universities provide for their students to give them a helping hand.
